Ecotrade is a trading company specializing in the merchandising of granulated blast furnace slag and other additives for use in cement manufacturing worldwide.
Founded in 1988, the company has rapidly grown to a leadership position in the slag market, selling abt 3 mio. tons in 2004 only.
After several years of experience in this very small and specific field we are now the exclusive exporter of the Riva's Granulated Blast Furnace Slag production in Taranto, Italy.
 Ecotrade also represents, on exclusive basis, Nippon Steel in the Usa market, Nippon Kokan, today JFE, in Americas and Africa and Stalhwerke Bremen, worldwide. We lift considerable volume of GBFS also from other steel plants in France, Germany, Turkey and Belgium.
By the acquisition of most strategic and productive sources, Ecotrade can meet the worldwide demand for blast furnace slag supplies and in particular give Cement factories increasingly strong guarantees of regular supplies and material availability on an exclusive-rights basis.
In support of this, Ecotrade has already agreed on supply contracts lasting more than five years up to ten and over. The above is the direct consequence of the consumers' need to secure long-term fixed-price supplies.
Starting from a trading position, Ecotrade has now become a supplier of global solutions to the customer, providing a personal consultant position together with the most significant end-users experience.
 Ecotrade's strength lies in its versatility and flexibility to serve the cement industry not only with slag, but also other
by-products such as rea-gypsum, fly ashes and other waste-derived products.
